Atlassian platform overview video

These were for a platform overview video made for Atlassian.

Role: Associate Designer
Other Roles: Lead Designer, Designer, Motion Designer, Art Director, Project Manager(s), Copywriter, etc.

The role I had in this project was to mainly observe the video/motion process at Atlassian. As an associate designer on this project, I did my best to not only understand the video process, but also help out wherever necessary.

By attending weekly meetings with the roles listed above and more, I was able to understand my role and others in creating this video, such as; the script writing, ideating/brainstorming, completing low and hi fidelity storyboards, finding voice actors, and collaborating in various contexts.

Parts of the process that I had a direct hand in the creation of were initial ideation/concepting and aid in early storyboard wireframing/creation (some examples to the side). Alongside both of these processes, I’ve also included some of the final storyboards as well done by the Designer (not me) on this project to showcase what some of the initial storyboards I worked on were transformed to and would later be transformed again by the motion designer.

This project taught me a lot about interdisciplinary collaboration in the context of motion and video creation, the concept to storyboard to motion process, and the importance of always having an open line of communication.
